Lies, lies!

Whoever said if you let the babies fall asleep on their own in their, they'll sleep better/longer lied to me. I tried it last night and Cavan was up every 2 hours! Maybe this is something you have to keep working at, but I was not a fan of it last night. I'm starting to suspect that books aren't always the answer. More on that later.

Oh, I agree. My babies were all different and NOT one of them did what a book said.

Sorry about the little sleep.

ooooh it does work, trust me! Keep at it, it takes a few weeks! Be consistent, feed, put into crib smiley and happy, I repeat over and over it's nap time, or it;s bedtime. love you...leave the room, they'll cry, go back in tap on the head, belly and repeat again...
it's a huge process but it does work! I have done it with 3 and all started out exactly how you described!
Good luck!

I found you on the D-list and I am a new follower :)

I never like the books either, but we have been putting my LO to sleep when groggy and about 2 weeks later she will fall asleep in her crib awake (pretty much) no fussing...I used to just nurse her to sleep and lay her in their... What works for one person does not always work for the next, but give it a shot for a little :)

Good luck, every 2 hours is not fun, my daughter did this to us for about 2 weeks recently (we think she was sick)...but I hear you. TIRED.

They do fall asleep on their own, so I guess I can't complain their. I'm actually thinking gas may be another cause for them not sleeping longer. I talked to my pediatrician and we are going to try Gripe Water to help them out.

Welcome Cindy! Thanks for following!
